A caregiver dashboard built on consent, not surveillance
Live vitals, location, and SOS alerts for caregivers — granted by the user via QR + 6-digit linking, capped at 10 caregivers, revocable instantly. Here's the design.
Caregiver features usually fail in one of two directions: so locked-down they're useless in an emergency, or so open they turn a family member into a tracking target. EchoSense threads this with one principle — the user is the source of all access.
Linking is an act of consent
A caregiver is linked through a QR code plus a 6-digit confirmation — something the user actively shows and approves, never a silent server-side grant. Each user can link up to 10 caregivers, and every link is individually revocable, instantly, from the user's own device. Revocation doesn't ask the caregiver's permission.
What a linked caregiver sees
- Status — the current stress tier at a glance: calm, elevated, stressed, or crisis.
- Vitals — live heart rate and HRV analytics from the user's Apple Watch.
- Location — live position on a map, for the 'are they okay getting home' moments.
- Activity log — regulation sessions and check-ins, as a pattern over time.
- SOS — instant alerts with location when either emergency trigger fires.
What a caregiver never sees
Conversations with Echo. Not summarized, not flagged, not 'available on request' — architecturally absent, because they never leave the user's device. A companion the user knows is relaying their words to a parent is a companion they will stop confiding in, and the whole early-warning model depends on honest use.
Between user and caregiver there's also a direct chat — support flows through conversation, not just monitoring.
